Computer Accounts
Both
students and employees need their LSU Active Directory computer
accounts to access computers on campus and to use the chemical engineering
computer labs. Your LSU Active Directory account has already
been created for you, but you need to activate it before you can
use it.
To activate your LSU Active Directory account, do the following:
- Logon to your PAWS account at
paws.lsu.edu and select "Password Change" under
"Personal Preferences."
- Set your new password to your existing PAWS password or change
it to a new one.
- Wait the specified activation time.
This process activates your new LSU Active Directory account. Now
when you login at LSU, you can use your PAWS login ID and password
and select "LSU" as the domain.
Your PAWS and LSU Active Directory accounts will have the same
user name (ID) and you will use the same password for both.
Call REGGIE (57-TIGER) If you are not sure what your PAWS login
ID is or if you don't remember your PAWS account password.
Before an LSU Active Directory account can be used to log on to
our chemical engineering computer labs, it has to be customized
to give you access to the ChE printers, for example. All such requests
should be sent to chesupport@lsu.edu.
Remember to select the LSU domain while logging on to the
chemical engineering network computers. If you have any problems,
send an email with a description of your problem to chesupport@lsu.edu.
You can access your LSU Active Directory file storage from your
PAWS desktop by selecting Tiger
Bytes under Student Services.
