Reversed
Scheduling of Two Advanced Level Chemistry Courses
The Department of Chemistry will reverse the semester
scheduling of two advanced level chemistry courses for Fall 2008
and Spring 2009.
- Chem 4570, Advanced General Inorganic Chemistry,
will be scheduled for Spring 2009. (This course is typically taught in the Fall but will be offered
Spring 2009.)
-
The prerequisite is credit or registration in Chem 3492.
- Chem 4571, Organometallic Chemistry, taught
by Dr. George Stanley is scheduled for Fall 2008. (This course is typically taught in the Spring, but will be offered
Fall 2008.)
-
The prerequisites for CHEM 4571 include CHEM 2262 or 2462 and
credit or registration in CHEM 3492. However, Dr. Stanley has
agreed to waive the CHEM 3492 prerequisite for students who have
passed CHEM 2262 or 2462 with a C or better. Students wishing
to register for CHEM 4571 who do not meet the CHEM 3492 prerequisites
will have to go to the Undergraduate Chemistry Office (109 Choppin
Hall) and request a prerequisite override.
